Spotted these on a camping site - not sure if they are any good for what you want, or wether you were all wanting to go down the leather route Wink

Just called in at cobblers, he recommended a webbing strap, its more versatile for securing to the car with a screw, less prone to cracking/tearing like leather and would be able to make something for you if you wanted

Basically a 1" wide webbing strap with a press stud , cut to required length, ends bent over and melted to stop fraying would be about £3 a pair. (based on me saying there would be about 5 pairs)

Said he could do leather if required, but you would be looking at a little more cost for something less hardwearing.

I would have to place the order and post them out at cost of P&P myself Thumbs Up

Obviously the weight is next to nothing so postage won't be a problem, but it's whether he will do a one off for the price quoted, which i will have to find out Smile

Can you confirm the length required for a umbrella Question ,

I measure it as 6" around the circumference till its touching, but then you would need extra for the area to attach the press studs at each end, so i would say at least another inch or two. This is at the widest part of my standard sized golf umbrella.
