Tints

Hello all

This is my first post, hopefully picking up my (used) TDV6 RRS on Saturday.

Currently is has factory rear privacy glass but interested to learn about the front side windoew tints - whats the legal limit. I heard it was 70% daylight must be allowed through.

Any advice on the legality - dont want the local fuzz to pay me too much attention in my new car due to "Fiddy"ing my new car too much!

Welcome to the forum Paul Very Happy

Front sides need to let 70% light through. No limit on the rears as I understand it.

I'd suggest using a reputable firm such as Pentagon to get your tints done - they are well known for quality work.

Not a clue mate, sorry.... it's been a while since anyone discussed it here.

Pentagon aren't the cheapest by any stretch, but they will do a good job.

Thats not too bad - I would need the back windows doing too though. Having said that I may not be able to as the vehicle on the lease deal should stay "unmodified" officially. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Mines on contract hire deal,I asked and they said as long as it was done at a reputable dealer and I paid it was OK,Pentagon quoted me £500 for all the back windows in security film. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
