Adam - are they saying a software upgrade can not be done on your RRS? If so check again because I'm nearly 100% sure it can - I had my 05 RRS software upgraded. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Of course I called up and booked it in! I wouldnt take a morning off work on the 'off chance'! I was told by the person I spoke to that the upgrade was available and it would take 40 mins. it can definitely be done... before I picked my VO up I insisted the Bluetooth was upgraded & Sat Nav Disc replaced with most current version. Works with iPhone 3G perfectly...

I have a Blackberry Pear, and it works fine - i have also tested the Curve, Storm and Bold they also work with address book.
