Hi Paul could be quite hard and time consuming fitted mine in about two hours with full fitting kit you will break some clips when you pull sills off,are they second hand ? best to see if L R sell fitting kit Rob.

ok what i have is s/hand steps and brackets,i believe new ones come with new plastic sills with cutouts for the brackets.i wondered if the original sills with no cutouts can be adapted maybe the cutout marks could be stamped on the the back hope this is clearer thanks

Hi I am sure that when you remove the plastic sills on the inside it is marked all ready for where you have to cut them out .So that the brackets can go through the sill .I THINK Range Rover Sport HSE,Java Black,Allround Tint's, Black and silver badges,Black and silver wheel centers,Up graded leather,Brembo brakes,white side repeater lenses,led number plate bulbs,led side lights bulbs,led reverse lights bulbs, led interior bulbs,Front and Rear mud flaps. Looking for private number plate. black and silver front grill and side vents and replaced the boot strip with black one

Update on fitting side steps..... yes, you do get new plastic sills with quite precise cut outs. I have just checked my old sills which I removed, sorry to be the bearer of 'bad news' but, no, they are not marked!

just been on to landrover and they say the plastic sills with the cutouts for side steps are not availiable seperatly only as a kit .does anyone know anthing about this ?

That's right, they only come as part of the side steps kit. When my shop removed my side steps and installed the rock sliders they "misplaced" both sills covers and only returned steps and brackets to me. I got the same answer as you from the local dealer here in the US.

Of course, the solid sills ARE sold on their own, so you could always buy a set of those and cut away at will. With a little patience you should be able to closely match the cutouts of the originals, and even if they don't turn out to be perfect, who cares? You only see those things for a split second with the doors open...
