FUEL ECONOMY ON 2.7

Can anybody tell me what sort of fuel economy I would expect to get from a 2.7 RRS as I would like to change my Supercharged for one.

I used to have a 2.7 D3 (which BTW is quicker than a RRS and i'm not joking) and TBH, everytime I jumped back into the RRS, it was pure chalk and cheese.

For -MPG, boringly better economy! Thumbs Up
Against - a massive compromise against S/C, oh and did I mention it's a tractor juice drinker Big Cry

D3 used to return 25-29 mpg on a good run.......but with my 'iron like' right foot, more likely 20-23 mpg. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

I love the sound of the V8 but as I`m going to be doing more miles in the newyear I think that the diesel would suit me more. I did post to see if anyone wanted a swap but there were no takers Sad

If I had some cash to put towards the change then I probably would but as we have just had our second child things are tight at present thats why we were hoping someone may fancy a change.

If it's pure economy you're after - the TDV6 will save you money at the pumps, especially for high mileage but everyone's right, the fun factor isn't quite there.

Depends if you believe what the trip comp tells you.

We have a/c on most of the year and town driving will ave around 22 - 25mpg.

A M'way run ave say 120km/h will return around 33 - 35mpg Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

France 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Tonga Green

I just did 2100 KM driving from France to Denmark. 99% highway and for the last 600 km from hamburg to my place I didn't went below 180 km/H most of the time, because I was late and the road was totally empty and dry.

I averaged 11,2 liter on the total trip.

The car is very good on long distance trips but as soon as the new model hit the street I will go for the TDV8 because the TDV6 lacks horsepower on highway driving.

If 1% of your trip was 600kms, doesn't that make the other 99% of your trip 59,400kms? Confused Wink Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
