Pete bell (bell auto services) isnt too far away in York.

He is a forum sponsor and does good work.

Other forum sponsors are available.

Good luck

Yes it is 200 miles , well spotted. Embarassed

I used to be in haulage and 200 miles was a nice ride out for a morning. Laughing

I think Pete Bell has dealers working for him all over the place so it might still be worth a call.

I had mine done by an agent for collins performance in congleton , cheshire.
They have a dealer in edinburgh who can sort it out for you.

If you have trouble finding them pm me and i'll point you in the right direction.

Don't forget the site sponsors , do your homework , the prices you get will vary quite a bit.

Good luck

Yep, BigMart is right... please look at the site sponsors first before heading elsewhere. Site sponsorship only works if they can get good business from paying money to advertise and commercially post - this in turn helps Martin to ensure the sites can pay for themselves rather than out of his own pocket/goodness of his heart.

Cheviot 4x4 are now offering Pete Bell's re-maps and they are in Newcastle - 0191 2574444.

Russell.

Oh, I think most of the other folk around are using his equipment and selling it on as their own such as Allisport etc. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Now that you've had the remap done a few weeks, has it been worth the money?

Cheers

Who did it for you and what kind of system is it Question Its possible that its one of Pete's from BAS anyway Question "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

how it's doing

Hi
i had the remap done for a few weeks. to be honest, i am not seeing major improvements. the milage return appears to be about the same, although i will admit that i have been using supermarket fuel, due the hike in prices (120.9 morrisons edinburgh compared to 124.9 shell) and i have found i get less mpg from these fuel suppliers.
there does seem to be some difference in the accelleration when you need it, but as i never tried flooring it before the remap, i can not be sure.
the big test will be this weekend. we need to fill a water bowser at my dads, so that we then can fill the hot tub, the joys of living in the sticks, means a poor water supply. the bowswer will be aroiund 2500kg when full. i have pulled this before with the wifes tdv6, did ok, but a bit sluggish, will see what happens with the tdv8.

will keep ypou all posted.

Call Mike Cooper of DMS (07920 092047) and make an arrangement for one of his techs to come to you! Had my TDV8 done in a car park in Aberdeen! Brilliant result - didn't notice huge improvement in fuel economy, nor "from zero" acceleration, but once you were into the 2000rpm upwards range the torque increase and resultant performance was massive. Neil
