My baby got deflowered

Yep, she had his first time beeing recovered in the woods. Shocked But let's start at the beginning of the story:

A mate of mine has a lodge in the woods which he uses for parties etc. Me and some friends went there last Saturday. The "road" there is more like a trail but no problems to drive, you can even drive there with a 3series BMW. Unfortunately it had been raining all day long and the ground was very, very wet. Therefore I drove right in the middle of the trail where there was enough gravel not to let my RRS sink.
After about 20 minutes I reached the lodge and we all were happy. I then parked the RRS on the right side of the "street" with two wheels in the mud. I thought "No problem, two wheels in the mud, two on the gravel, the diffs will solve that!"
Well unfortunately on the right side of the road the surface is pointing downwards and therefore under the weight of my heavy RRS the mud under my right two wheels sank (i.e. not the wheels sank, the whole hill went away). It didn't feel too bad from inside the car but Mrs McBunny who was standing on the outside yelled at me to do something since the car would be about to tilt over. Shocked I thougt "yes, sure, the girls again" Rolling Eyes but to keep peace within the relationship i decided to drive out of my "parking place". Rolling Eyes
It didn't take long to realise that I couldn't steer because the wheels with the weight on them, i.e. those downwards, were in deep and very soft mud with no grip at all. The problem was, I only had about 1 meter to the front and 1 to the back before I would hit a tree so I did not have enough space to drive out of the "whole" my RRS had digged. Sad So I stepped out of my car to call a friend and his traktor with a rope and I suddenly realised:

The lady was right! Shocked The two left wheels had about 10 cm of gravel under then, on the right the surface was leading downwards where the two right wheels were standing with no grip at all on a very soft muddy surface (leading very steep downwards) significantly deeper (after the car was out we measured about 1,20m height difference between the left and the right wheels! Shocked )! Shocked

So I was a little shocked. I then closed the door and what happened? Right, the car's suspension tried to level itself which caused the car to slide about 5cm downwards before I manage to tear the drivers door open and stop the car trying to level itself. Shocked

It took my mate almost half an hour to arrive and about 20 minutes to pull my baby out. Due to the fact a lot of stupid 4x4 drivers have done the same thing as me and he has plenty of experience with pulling guys back on the road again near his lodge he brought my baby back on the road with absolutely no damage at all! Thumbs Up

So, about an hour after the shock we sat together in the heated lodge, drinking some beer and I was very happy my RRS wasn't damaged at all when I realized: I had been so shocked I forgot to take pictures! Shocked Big Cry
I'm sorry guys but no pictures at all and trust me, it did look spectacular! Confused I was so angry about forgetting to take pictures I wanted to park my car there again (of course hanging on his rope) to take some pictures, but Mrs McBunny said, her nerves wouldn't stand this action again. Wink

Before I forget it: Thank you Land Rover for fitting the two rescue hooks in the front and in the back of the car, we needed them both! Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

Damage update

Hi guys,

a little update on the damage my wood-parking caused:
When fitting the cover of the front tow hook I broke a plastic thing that holds the cover. Yesterday I bought a new one: 56 Euro-cents. Shocked

Compared to the damage I would have almost caused by almost dropping my RRS down a 200 meter canyon I think that is quite cheap! Thumbs Up Wink

Nevertheless I will be at LRE Germany for one day in a few weeks to break some cars that aren't mine! Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

If your use- and worthless bits of metal and paper would be proper money, we would talk about 30 pence but since your "proper money" is only worth half of what it was, it's really 50 pence!
