Thats the funny thing, i was quite prepared to pay for the full valet, but when i picked it, the girl says to me, "We havnt charged you for the valet cos you've been in once or twice before so its a goodwill gesture!!!" Just as well they didnt charge me since they didnt do half of the job!!!! |

Ok I sometimes get this when it's a little colder, basicaly I put it down to the RRS being a heavy vehicle and with it being parked overnight the tyres start to "square off" then after a little driving the tyres warm up and become "normal" again. I had it yeasterday after driving the car for about an hour on the Autobahn, parked the car up(tyres nice and warm) air temp was just above freezing, car was parked for about 4 hours, when i set off again I get the small vibration or bumping for a couple of mins until the tyres get up to temp again. Not sure if this helps but if it's only when you first start driving think this may be the reason. Speed Limits! not where I live!

Hi there,I too have experienced steering shake.I have a new tdv6 se on 18" wheels. When moving off I have felt a shake through the steering wheel for the first 15 miles, then it goes away. This occurs when the car has been standing for about 6 days without use. When I use it on a regular baisis I don't notice it. I hadn't thought about the tyres losing their shape, though I have come from a D3 with the same sized wheels and never noticed any shake. I was thinking whether it was caused by lubricant or something settling with the car not being used for a time. I was wondering how to explain the problem to the service dept when I call in to replace the terrible wiper blades as the car will be 'warmed up' by the time I get there and I can't leave it there for 6 days! |

There have also been various TSBs released regarding issues with steering knocks, suspension etc.

I feel a bit like they dont get it, coz its really only bad when you have been driving for an hour on the motorway and your hand goes numb!!! but heres hoping!! Bobby - thanks for the tech bulletin coz they hadnt seen it OR been through the stuff on it. Perrys have been accomodating so far so lets hope they sort it ! Got a V6 Disco which is very nice!
