For some reason the heated windscreen is only clearing the passenger half of the car !!

Does the windscreen have power points at each side ? The reason I ask is that it looks like the person before me had something hard wired up the drivers side front pillar and I am wondering if they have accidentally disconnected a wire whilst carrying this out ?

If so is it safe to take off the covering around the pillar to see if there is a connection come loose or will the airbag deploy ?

Its not a major issue just frustration that its not clearing all the windscreen.

Also is the rear side window heaters operated from the rear window heater switch ?

My dealer has me booked in for a replacement screen.
- The section of mine that works is left side of centre....

Not too sure if the person who had the vehicle before who hardwired some sort of charger dangling from the front pillar accidentally caused the problem and therefore outside the warranty !! (Unless of course it gets chipped and has to be replaced !!)

Ah well will probably have to live with it and ask when I get the service done if they can suggest anything, albeit the ice will have long gone and the problem wont be visible !!

"A" pillar trim comes off no problem ...no airbag will deploy

There are 2 electrical connectors for each side of the windscreen ..there are also 2 fuse's one for each side Bluetooth Exchange www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

Thanks Wiggs, I will have a look at the weekend see if I can see the connector but perhaps look at the fuses first, (once I find where they are !!).
