United States 2007 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Java Black

I got the software from mp3car.com

The front end is called Road Runner. The Skin is called Elite 1.1
I swapped the logos out of the Elite skin. I can attach my skin if anyone wants it. Can you attach files to this board?

Stay tune guys....

I am dumping my carputer for a phone setup.

I got the HTC Touch Pro and will be getting the video-out cables. The Phone rocks. I will be running Garmin XT and IGO8 navigation. It is freaking incredible. IGo8 has 3D level terrain and 3D buildings. I got streaming youtube. Real album art from my music. Google Earth with street view. When I get it set up, it is gonna be on youtube.

Ok, again for n00b´s like me Thumbs Up

i buy an carpc at ebay, buy the 2-3 other parts to fit it in the car and it works?!

I asked last year an company who makes car pc´s, they said to me that the original touchscreen monitor didn´t work with an car pc.

other question: what i exactly need to use the touchscreen with the pc? i heard from an interface from gnet. whats the exactly part number or name?

thanks

to use the touch screen interface is considerable harder than just a part, you have to take it apart and run some new wires etc

While I absolutely Bow down to those who have gone to the lengths of installing a system like this is their car, I do however have to ask the question……….why ?

There is no doubting the amazing technical ability / expertise knowledge involved in doing a project such as this, but to what end Confused

If you want a load of music, burn a few Mp3 CD’s & pop 'em in the slot or plug in an Mp3 player into the Aux input.

For Sat-Nav either go for the factory fit option (overpriced / restrictive) or just get a TOM TOM, Garmin or some other such unit.

For Video / Movies……… well you shouldn’t be watching movies while driving Shocked

Now I should qualify this by saying I’m a gadget junkie just like anyone lese & love my toys, but I really fail to see the benefit or use in these elaborate installations. Of course this is in no way intended to criticise or be-little anyone’s efforts, I am truly amazed at what is being done here Bow down

But to be perfectly honest, I really am left befuddled by the whole “CARPUTER” thing Confused

But then as the old saying goes......... "Horses for Courses" Thumbs Up
