Trouble with looking at issues with these units is that it depends on the precise geometry of the satellites relative to the windscreen and other windows, if the unit has line of sight to enough satellites without the windscreen then it will achieve a lock quite quickly.

My RA+ achieves lock quickly and easily in both our RRS and D3 when in/on the centre console but struggles more when up under the windscreen....so it has to be that causing the issue IMHO. Cheers
