Indeed it is very interesting.

Given that the RRS & D3 share pretty much the same drivetrain & suspension set up & also in some cases share the same alloy wheel options. I’ve often wondered if the tyre size differences are merely a software setup issue.

On the 18” rim the D3 takes a 255/60 tyre & the RRS a 255/55 tyre.

On the 19” rim the D3 has a 255/55 tyre with the RRS having a 255/50 tyre.

Not much of a difference, but enough to throw out the speedo readings all the same. But very easily amended if you can “tell the car” what rolling radius to expect.

Locked down in access (hold down button until you get the padlock illuminated) is the way to go.

HHmm...actually the exact opposite of this is recommended in the manual. Raise the vehicle to off road mode and then jack up, not on the wheel suspension, but on the frame only. Also helpful to open the rear gate or a door once raised up to prevent relevelling.

Embarassed Yep I knew it was one way round and got it wrong. TDV6 - gone

Can you “Tell the Sport” that it has, for instance 255/55 19’s on rather than 255/50’s & then get correct speedo readings ??

Just to answer my own question……

I've found out that it is indeed possible to set the tyre size as 255/55 19 on the IDS system Thumbs Up
