United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

Just put my Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snows back on using 19" RRS rims. I really like these tyres, but they do wear pretty quickly, which is why I now need to buy a new set. Won't hesitate to buy the same again and I have sourced a set from Kwik Fit, fully fitted at £158 a tyre. That was substantially cheaper than buying Online where each tyre was quoted at around £200 each, obviously not fitted.

Does anyone know what the "NO" marking on some Pirelli's means. There are tyres out there without that marking which appear to be a bit cheaper than the ones with NO marked at the end of the size and speed and load data. The dealer (rather worryingly) doesn't know what the extra "NO" means ?

Mind you mine are 275/40 R20 V106, whats yours? and what price would have mine been from quick fit, just to depress myself even more. Supercharged 2006 gone

But LR Switzerland recommend 20" so don't know how that would effect warranties etc.

My LR garage sold me the 19" for winter, so no problem for warranty etc. 19" is anyway a standard size for the RRS. They fit well over the Brembos without modifications.
I prefer the little extra shoulder of the 19" for winter (on my previous TDV6 I went for 18') '08 RRS TDV8

I have the same question; what does this N0 mean. On www.reifendirekt.ch there are two posting for the Pirelli;

1) Pirelli Scorpion ICE + SNOW, 255/50 R19 107V XL RB, M+S Kennung - CHF334
2) Pirelli Scorpion ICE + SNOW, 255/50 R19 107V XL RB, M+S Kennung, N0 - CHF351

Any guesses?

Killer - I have been running the new Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow's that don't have the "NO" marking for a week now. Confess that these tyres don't feel nearly as good as the ones I used last year which were the same tyres except they had the "NO" marking. This years tyres feel very "vague" and are not instilling confidence in me at all. Last years tyres were very grippy indeed and gave lots of good feedback to the driver. I am sure its not my imagination. In fact its so bad that I am begining to wonder whether the tyres have been correctly fitted or perhaps the suspension has been affected during the fitting process. The steering seems so light and lifeless now that perhaps there is something wrong ? Or maybe the compound used on the "NO" tyres is simply a better, stickier and grippier tread with firmer sidewalls. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

I have decided to get the Pirellis, but probably on the 20" rims. It simply looks so sweet, and I am not entirely sure I will ever know the difference. In the winter I am mostly driving on tarmac, with snow on top, and not 10cm or more. It is only two centimeters on the width, and the comfort is secondary to me.

I changed my mind: I have just ordered the Vredestein Wintrac 4 Extreme tires. They have only had excellent reviews, whereas it is hit and miss with the Pirellis. Some love them, but some hate them. I got a really good deal on www.reifendirekt.ch, and as this is my third order from them (summer and winter tires for my RX300), I am used to them delivering.

Now all I am missing is the b..... car. I have the winter tires, the Philips DVD player, the 2-stroke oil for the diesel, the clean kit for the ivory interior, and the reversing camera kit (from GNET) to be ordered, as soon as I verify the screen unit it comes with (rumors has it it may be the new multi-media unit).

Can't wait - two weeks to go.

I don´t think that 255/55/19 are declared for RRS ( EU Homologated) so if you put that dimension 55 on your car and have an accident you might have a problem..

Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

I'd like to have exaclty that size on my car and since we have the TÜV-guys in Germany we don't have a problem with the insurance IF the TÜV-guys gave their "okay" which is not too often and surprisingly expensive to be honest. Confused
But on the other hand if they say it's okay I don't have any problem and to get them to saying so everything helpful is very appreciated, so thanks for the info Alicatt! Bow down
I'll try and get something from Land Rover stating that there is no problem driving this dimension on a RRS and if I will get something like that, I'll let you know and post it here. United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Here I go dragging up a really old post again. But I find myself with the same dilema / choice between Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snows made with Rayon (as specified for Porsches) or with Polyester (as specified for all other SUV's). I now have 3 tyres with the Polyester and just sourced a 4th to replace a damaged tyre and the new one that has turned up is the Rayon version (which has the "NO" after the size, rating data of 255/50/R19 107V). The rayon NO tyre feels significantly stickier than the polyester version. Does anyone know if it is OK to run a mixed set of these tyres ? RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini
