Newbee looking at RRS SE

Hi All,

I usually reside on another Defender forum as am the owner of a gorgeous 55 plate Java Black 110 Double Cab XS with lots of extras. Am looking at chopping it in for a RRS SE in silver with Alpaca leather.

The main question I want to ask is whether or not I should be looking at an HSE and what extras do you get with the HSE over the SE and what the differences are between them?

I have been offered the SE for a good price, but dont know whether or not to look around for the HSE. If I dont think the extras are worth it, then I wont bother, but as I am not an expert in the field, I thought I would ask those in the know!!!

Look for an HSE - with prices what they are now you could pick up an 05 with about 40k on the clock for very low £20k 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Agree with VA, find a HSE.

Values are tumbling so you will definitely find one.

The extra toys (And allegedly superior leather) are well worth it Thumbs Up Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Yep, if you're buying at that age, definitely worth finding an HSE!

Try and find one with PTI as that was still an extra back then on the HSE. You'll get the Satnav and also the decent leather as Super says... good luck Thumbs Up

When I first looked at buying a RRS, the salesman in Guy Salmon Portsmouth told me that "everyone buys the HSE model". I thought he was just trying to get me to buy a high spec car .... and earn more money from me. However, when I looked on Autotrader and added HSE to the search terms, I discovered that what he was saying was true. Moral of the story is, if you're buying a luxury car, don't go for a poverty spec example. I've been mad for flipping years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks.
