I heard somewhere that you can program the third button on the keyfob to do different things. Mine currently opens the rear tailgate glass.

Hmmm and look where that ended up! ![]() 1. Lights - Hold the button then pull the indicator stalk to flash the lights. 2 & 3. Boot - Hold the button then open either the upper or lower boot. 4. Panic - Hold the button then press the hazzard light button. 5. Suspension - Hold the button then press the suspension button. In all instances hold both buttons down at the same time, you should here a ping when it's set. It will activate the last stored feature when you set it...... i.e. If it's currently set to the boot and you then change it to the headlights then as you set it the boot will open, however it will only happen the once. The suspension feature is slightly more complicated. Once you have assigned the button you will need to have the hazzard lights on (a safety feature), all apatures closed, then hold the LR button and at the same time press Lock to go up and unlock to go down (or other way around). The headlight setting is by far the most useful IMO as you can set the headlamp delay to max and then press the button to switch them off when you get to the front door (depending on hol long your pathway is). It is quite interesting to try them all out anyway. James ![]() PS. We encourage all our customers to read the instruction manual!!!! |

I understand that it is a safety feature so that there is no way that you can accidentally change the suspension height. For instance, if you sat on the key in your pocket and it activated the suspension, then there could be all sorts of consiquences. I think the reasoning behind it is that you have to make a concious decision to activate the hazzards before it will work. James ![]() |

What about programming the mirrors to fold in once you lock the car? Is this a DIY thing or will the dealer need to do it?
