Hi Mike, cheers. My 996 Turbo was running the bigger K24 Turbo's and had been re-mapped to produce 509bhp / 580ftlb so it was a pretty rapid car for sure. To be honest I think the 996TT is marginally quicker feeling than the Gallardo - however I would think some of that could be apportioned to the power delivery of the turbo engine being more 'whizz bang' than the much more linear power delivery of the naturally aspired Gallardo V10. I'm not disappointed at all, because quite frankly you very rarely get to use the full potential at this sort of power and the way the Lambo delivers its power is SO much more soulful and nowhere near as sterile as the typically over engineered German car. Both great cars mind, you cant take their strengths away from either of them. 10 Lamborghini LP560-4 Spyder 10 Rangey Sport HSE TdV6 (with Overfinch bling) 10 Audi Q5 2.0Tdi DSG S-Line No 1 on the list for an Evoque (for wife obviously!) |
