I keep my eye on market prices and use the LR approved used site as a marker for the higher prices you'd expect to pay.

Although I test drove a D3 HSE and thought it was rubbish compared to a RR, if you were pressed for one or, just being Captain Sensible and not spending bags of cash, you can now pick up a 1 year old 57 plate, 8K on the clock HSE with a few options such as Privacy, rear AC, Hybrid TV for as little as £26K.

Only 4 months back I did the same test and these cars were selling for £32K.

The dealers are hurting and I'm sure a bargain could be had.

I've also seen FFRR TDV8 Vogue SE's, about a 06 plate with 11K for only just over £30K.

It's all relative cos that means my 3.5 year old TD6 Vogue with 69K on it is probably worth about £16K...  L319 D4 HSE

Way back in May a friend of mine enquired about swapping his 07 plate D3 HSE for a Range Rover Sport. He was quoted £25k part ex but the dealer couldn't get a white RRS with his options in less than ten weeks due to the factory lead times. So he didn't bother going through with the deal.

A few weeks ago the dealership in question phoned him and said they could now get the vehicle of his choice if he was still interested. Part exchange on his D3 . . . £16K  Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

You should see what they're going through at BCA for.....great news if you don't already own a LR, i've not seen this months book yet, but I bet D3, RRS and FFR are all off between £1k-£1.5K  Speed Limits! not where I live!

We're off on our Hols Saturday, going to leave it untill next month or even December, thought I had found one last weekend but the HPi report put paid to that one, i never even bother going to see any car nowadays without running a HPi, that £5 can save you thousands!!!! Speed Limits! not where I live!
