I'm looking for a set of tires (winter) and if available wheels. Just curious if anyone State side took off their OE's to upgrade?

I have a set of Pirelli Scorpion Snow and Ice 19's that are on a set of RRS 19" wheels..................... bought them a year ago and then went overseas for the whole winter so never got to try them.

I'm not selling! I bought the wheels from a member here who didn't want them and the local tyre shop found the tyres at a very good price!

You surprise me that those Pirellis aren't available in the USA, especially in the midwest where there are far harsher winters than we get here. I see from the Pirelli UK website that the tyres I have are now available in 20"
size this year too!

The Pirelli's are available both retail and on line. I'm trying to find another set of wheels so I can switch out from summer to winter.

I have a set of Pirelli Snow and Ice currently mounted that only have 3/32nds tread remaining. The Snow and Ice are by far the best tire for the job. However, they do wear out in short order. In retrospect, the rapid wear is a fair trade off for the safety and performance they provide.

The quick wear was also commented on by Smarticus who I think has only had 1.5 seasons use from his. They must be a very soft compound.
