It was good fun, I think you can tell by the 'school boy' tone in my voice Embarassed Driven the ring hundreds of times but passing M3's and Bikes in a Cerbera or E30 M3 doesn't feel quite as good as in two and a half tonne of Land Rovers finest.

Next trip is September and towing the M3 out this time, I don't think the Sport is going to escape a few laps though and with the JE remap it should have a little more oomph on the straights. Evil or Very Mad

Don't suppose anyone else fancies the trip? RR Sport.co.uk outing to the Nurburgring? Would be a very cool convoy.

I appreciate that things on videos never sound quite the same as in real life, but please tell me somebody - why do most the motoring mags say there is unacceptable windnoise at speed in the TDv8 RRS? I don't get "unacceptable" windnoise in mine - I get a little around the A pillar by the mirror but I expect there to be some noise there (it isn't intrusive anyway) and I assume that Chris was doing speeds that would be highly illegal on the open road and I don't hear much wind noise inside his car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

From Nurburg to Duseldorf on the A1 a fair bit is unrestricted and I sat on the speed limiter for most of the journey. Can't say I noticed anything above normal wind noise levels. I suppose if you have to find fault with a vehicle, thats not the worst thing you could make up. Smile

I did find that above about 100mph though the ride got quite harsh.. I put it down to the 20's and the speed but I think the car lowers again at about that speed so whether that has something to do with it or not I don't know. Anyone else noticed similar?

Some parts of the video, like down in to the Foxhole (first M3 we catch) are probably touching 120mph.

I get a bit of wind noise from the B pillar, it is not loud but can get anoying as it is just behind my left ear. The dealer over here checked the shut lines etc of the doors but they are all ok Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

The only wind noise in mine are the kids on the back seat and dogs in the boot. I guess the dealer won't be able to do anything about those either. Wink RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

It would appear my video is making its way around the internet quite nicely.

Even some 911 boys are a little impressed by the Sports performance.
