Australia 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Stornoway Grey

Thanks so much for the info much appreciated. I will contact them to see what they suggest in terms of getting my stealer on the right path.

As you suggested the LTB may help.

Well, it was great to have a fixed seat but.......less than two weeks later, the problem has returned. Maybe the parts were from the same faulty batch. Anyway, its back to the stealer on Monday to a) get acknowledgment of the problem returning and b) to order new parts if successful. Not happy right now as its a 200km round trip to the stealer each time and my time is valuable. Maybe I should call LR Assist and they can take it away for me!! Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Wow!!!!!! this is not great news since my stealer is proposing exactly the same fix based on your recommendation. You would think that for a car of this cost they would be able to fix a simple seat issue without this much PT.

Not sure where we go from here.

No, me neither Stono but I will let you know what the stealer says in a couple of days when I get my car back.

Right now they have my RRS and I have their V6 Petrol gas guzzling (but brand new) Pikey Wagon!! Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Thanks much appreciated. Mine is due to go in on the 9th February to have the new rails fitted so hopefully you will have an idea of the state of play (excuse the pun) by then.

Stay well and enjoy the V6 GG Razz

Hi 2nd

Yes it is, all colour coded white.....in fact, its very white. Gotta say, its a nice car, prefer my RRS but in a diesel and if I needed 7 seats (I only need 1 or 2 most of the time) the Pikey Wagon would be a good choice of 4x4....one can see where the RRS got its DNA from!!

2nd, I have accidentally dudded you. The rego says its an 08. Looking at it in the garage (sad aren't I?) its not as color coded as my memory thought. Still, its bloody big and.....just very white to the eye. It does have a white grille which probably makes it look whiter that it really is. Sorry for getting it wrong....I feel a clot. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Have you had any further feedback on your seat issue yet or is it just more of the same run around.

Hi Stono

No, its all fixed, new seat rails this time (in addition to the LR Bulletin quoted last time) and after 5 days it still feels good....no movement at all.

I meant to update you but it faded into the background when fixing a small steering vibration was diagnosed as my car needing a new steering rack (fitted) and a new rear diff after 10000km of highway driving (awaiting stock from Blighty)

Stealer excellent as always. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

My seat is also doing this now.

Will give dealer a call next week an get them to sort it.

TIA

I had the same problem with mine from new and Alto claimed that they had fixed it during the first service. But the movement is back now so I need to get it looked at again.

Is there anyone here who can actually post the wording from the Bulletin LTB00176v2 so that I don't have to rely on Alto finding it?
