Thanks so much for the info much appreciated. I will contact them to see what they suggest in terms of getting my stealer on the right path.

Well, it was great to have a fixed seat but.......less than two weeks later, the problem has returned. Maybe the parts were from the same faulty batch. Anyway, its back to the stealer on Monday to a) get acknowledgment of the problem returning and b) to order new parts if successful. Not happy right now as its a 200km round trip to the stealer each time and my time is valuable. Maybe I should call LR Assist and they can take it away for me!! Wow!!!!!! this is not great news since my stealer is proposing exactly the same fix based on your recommendation. You would think that for a car of this cost they would be able to fix a simple seat issue without this much PT.

No, me neither Stono but I will let you know what the stealer says in a couple of days when I get my car back.

Thanks much appreciated. Mine is due to go in on the 9th February to have the new rails fitted so hopefully you will have an idea of the state of play (excuse the pun) by then.

2nd, I have accidentally dudded you. The rego says its an 08. Looking at it in the garage (sad aren't I?) its not as color coded as my memory thought. Still, its bloody big and.....just very white to the eye. It does have a white grille which probably makes it look whiter that it really is. Sorry for getting it wrong....I feel a clot. I had the same problem with mine from new and Alto claimed that they had fixed it during the first service. But the movement is back now so I need to get it looked at again.
