The ad states 10% or 20bhp, but forcing more air into a petrol needs care as it can cause the mixture to go weak if the fueling system can´t or doesn´t keep up.

And with a turbo diesel you would get more gain from a re-map.

Its advertised for the RR 2.5DSE, customer letters are for 1.4L petrols, not sure if it would work too well on big LR petrols as the engine flow is already very high, too add further flow will require big electric power, wonder if the HP gains include the loss caused by generating the 30A+ that it needs??? Cheers

The company said that it will fit a RRS 4.4L, and that its just a generic system that fits most vehicles, not just LR. I know a regular intake adds about 10-15 HP, on RR.net a member did a before and after Dyno test on his. So its probably correct to say it will add 20HP. It looks pretty sick too, that must add another 5 HP so a total of 25HP, right?

Hmmm, but on the 4.4L thats only 8% - you could get that much variation due to ambient air temp or any other number of factors that could change between dyno runs....try turning off the a/c etc etc and see how much free power is created on the dyno...

Basically if you put any airflow device on a 1.4L and a 4.4L the effect will be totally different... Cheers

right, the 10-15% was on a 4.4L, I assume with the Dyno they didnt run the A/C. Its more for show than anything, its obvious its not going to be a noticable improvment. The main difference will be the deeper tone to the engine and exhaust durring excelleration. My exhaust system sounds much better with my aftermarket intake, to fo along with my carback.
