First I've heard of it and I keep a very close eye on this sort of thing, but that doesn't mean it's not true. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten 2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed. Wouldn't surprise me - the Royals have always been fans of LR cars. In that documentary that was on last year about Windsor Great Park, Phil the Greek was seen to be driving around in a Disco. That article doesn't seem very complimentary about the RRS, though... maybe not expensive enough for your average Forbes reader

The folks we stayed with over new year have a new RR - and although the trim looks lovely from the outside, I'd agree that when you get in it's really not the same place to be as the RRS. I think what makes the RRS cabin feel so much more connected is the "surrounding" placement of the dash & centre console which you don't get in the RR. Have to say I prefer my RRS.

Will this mean that in a few years time ( maybe months ) we will see some very well priced RR's for sale ? personally I think they will drop like a stone especially the closer we get to the replacement RR arriving.

I agree with you. I have driven every variant of Range Rover ever made, some for longer than others but the cockpit feeling of the Sport does make it feel a lot more cocooned and safe and nimble. I love the feeling of it when I drive around, especially with privacy glass, I don't feel as if I am 'on show' as much as cars without it. That's why I dislike my wife's Z4 with the roof off. There's no privacy.

Definitely! It's brought LR a whole echelon of customers that they wouldn't normally have had and reading some of the sales figures it seems like the RRS is the shot in the arm that LR really needed. Now, if only they could iron out some of the little niggles... 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here?
