help removing orange lenses from headlights

Im looking into doing this asap,

I have smoked side repeators and have removed the orange lenses from the rear lights, now need help on doing the front ones,

I gather its a heat and seperate the headlight lense but then do I

1. get a clear diffuser attempt to cut and fit that
2. paint the orange reflector either silver or close to headlamp colour
3. cover the orange reflector in a tint or a reflective film

any pics or write ups would be great thanks

All this work is being done by LR and will be on the next MY production. Why don't you wait and just buy the units as I'm sure it won't be long before they are available. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Yes - I had noticed this too. Made me think of those who'd gone to lenghts of putting their lights in the oven to bake - in order to open & remove the inner amber reflector [ if you remember the thread ] ?? Laughing

reminds me of the old advert " For mash .. get SMASH " Wink

no its only the rear and side amber lenses they are removing, not the front,

I did the headlights on my old x5 so after opinions/experience of people who have done this to their rrs already.

plus im sure if i ordered the my09 rear lights from dealers in sept time it would cost at least £300+vat and I did mine for £10 for silver bulbs and they are done now

and dont look too bad
