It's here !

My RRS has arrived, well it did before Christmas by surprise, spent two weeks sorting out paperwork and selling the old motor, but fingers crossed will pick it up this Friday........it's been a long wait but well worth it I hope.

RRS TDv6 Bonatti Grey, Ebony/Rodium, various options.........

Good timing as second child arrived 8th December so two prams to carry now ! Hope you all had a great Christmas & New Year.

cheers
Andrew

Andrew - just to make you jealous my 7 month old baby sleeps 12 hours at night 9pm-9am Smile This makes up for my first 2 kids who both wouldn't sleep for more than 1 hour at a time. I spent many early mornings watching teletubbies, driving them around the neighbourhood and at a last resort shopping at a 24hr supermarket where I was joined by numerous dads with small babies - all giving eachother that knowing look! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Congrats Andrew, on both scores!! Very Happy

Now, how to split time between new sprog and new car? Wink At least mine is 18 months now - he actually came on the test drive. His only complaint was that he couldn't reach the pedals, but he does like to sit and "drive" it.

Picked it up on Friday and needless to say I have been smiling all weekend, initial impressions are better than expected in terms of performance, I had been thinking about a turbochip but will put this on hold for a while and see how I get on.

Only issue is that they forgot to fit the electric mirror retraction option I had ordered.........dealer has spoken to the factory who say it is not a retro fit but he is also going to speak to their chief mechanic today who apparently is a bit of an electronics wiz ! All my papers and order forms clearly state the option so the factory simply forgot it. Was pee'd off at first but hopefully they can sort this out soon.

Will post some pic's when i get the chance.

Cheers
Andrew

Glad to see QA at the LR factory is still alive and well Wink We have a few tales of things forgotten or wrong at the factory so you shouldn't take it personally.

That's exactly what I said to the dealer on Friday.....after discovering the missing option I said that typical of Land Rover I know of a few other owners who have had similar problems. I was thinking of RRUK's privacy glass.

Anyway we'll see what happens. cheers

Yep, and in mine they managed to put the rear grab handles in the front of the car so if I want to hang up a jacket, I can't without blocking the view out of the front side windows. Useful! Rolling Eyes
