Wet Roads !

If you ever fancy testing the wading depth of your RRS, have a look at this web site www.wetroads.co.uk
It's a list of every ford in the UK along with pictures, severity grading and details for a safe route through. I never realised there were so many.

It would make a good "Mini Meet" to arrange to meet up somewhere central and take in a collection of some of the fords. There are some goods ones in Warwickshire Smile

This is excellent! I knew of a few very local to me, but I see there's even more than I thought. Well found, PaulB! Very Happy

yep.. well found mate..
this is the one i have been through..
looks like nothing, but this is the description of it:

"It doesn't look like it, but this one is genuinely deep in urban Birmingham and is well worth a visit. Again, take care for a flashy response in wet weather."

Also the other bonus is, the roads which run parralel are very busy and congested at rush hour, 10 minute worth of line, by nipping across here you can save a heap of time..and you feel like a right smart ass

Although the approach from the one side is single track so you have to be careful of oncoming cars, and i have seen a number of vehicles stuck in the middle of this ford, as it is very deep compared to what it looks like..

There are a couple of really good ones local to me in North Warwickshire at Little Lawford and Packington. I think I would be very cautious, even in the RRS Shocked
Are we on for a Mini Meet then ?
If so, when would be good ?

Hoghton Bottoms
SD627272 (2*) Restricted Access
(22/04/2003)

On the edge of this Lancashire hamlet is this rough ford of around 7 car lengths. Although rough, it did not look to fierce on this visit. The biggest problem lies in the southern access ramp which is very steep and would cause a problem for most 4x4s. Image mouseover sent in by Alan Rawsterne (26/12/2004)

This is not far from home and even closer to the outlaws home.
Never even knew it was there.
Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.
