Finally washed the car after last weeks mud bath and looks like I have knackered the blade in the passenger side windscreen wiper. Does anyone know if I can only get these from a LR Stealer, or will a super cheap auto or equivalent have them in stock?

might be worth checking on the D3 site, i remember when we were all suffering from the squeeking wiper blades that a number of Aussie members looked for alternatives.

yup - rained pretty solidly for the last day and a half.. I'm sure we'll be told yet again that none of it fell in the catchments!

It is the same here, Sydney gets far more rain than London, yet i think they put the catchment area in the simpson, it always has a lot less than the actual greater Sydney area Apparently the dams are starting to fill, but a large swathe of NSW is in drought.
It may be certainly worth trawling the D3 site or at least post an enquiry on there, i know some guys looked elsewhere for wipers due to the constant juddering and scraping of the LR ones. Great pics 2nd rower but I just don't think I can get un anal enough to get my car that dirty! Mine has to get washed after it rains. Mud under the wheel arches....I mean...wouldn't that mean I would have to spray more amorall under there to make them shiny again? |

We're still officially 'in a drought', yet once or twice a year it rains so hard we get flash floods?! Restrictions are in place so I can't use my pressure washer and have to go to a car wash! I don't think they'll ever lift the restrictions, even if they ever build teh desalination plant down here.. I hear Adelaide's getting close to critical!? |

Thanks - I've never been precious about cars - they are to be used after all!! You just have to accept that they will likely depreciate and that you may get the odd ding or scratch on them! Getting the RRS off road last week was a lot of fun and I would recommend it to anyone! Can't wait to do it again.. and will be getting it onto a beach also asap! |

Thought all vehicles are banned from the sand/beaches in Victoria i did the great ocean road in the New Year and was advised of the fact, would your nearest alternative be in NSW or Robe in SA ?? If you are up for a trip UP NORFF for some Sand driving let me know, i am sure we can convince tastetech to get his nice shiney sport slightly dusty Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

I think there is somewhere in Vic, a friend claims to have done it relatively locally - in fact he has a sticker on his Prado! I'll double check. |

was that the same gentlemen stood next to the Prado, running out the way as you came out of the very large puddle at a reasonable rate of knots Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

You are correct Zilch, beach driving in Victoria is illegal! I need to get to SA or NSW! |
