Wow!! is it really that bad??

I'v had my SL for over 5 years now

2 things annoy me.......

1. People constantly telling me...its just an Audi / not a supercar (Im starting to agree Embarassed )
2. Its not a convertible

I'm thinking either........

push the boat out and get a 3 year old Gallardo.......or stay somewhat reserved and get a XKR convertible which could be driven more often and will lose less money..........

any advice from owners of either of these?

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

Have been a long term admirer of both but have only been in the XKR ..... (would love to own either but not on a paupers salary).

Looking at it from the outside I would say you could have more fun in the XKR than the Gallardo and be less likely to kill yourself. On crappy british roads the Jag is a lot more comfortable than any "supercar"! RRS TDV6 SE Java Black +towpack +tintent +Permagrin

What a difference between this and my old Disco3

Jonny - nice choice, however not sure why your asking us after already ordering the GT3 - if your not that sure, why not get a GT3 on an extended test first before getting one?

in that case - personally I'd have a 911 over the R8 anyday, so imo its a great choice

Good choice mate, by all accounts meant to be a fabulous car - my money would go on the new hard top convertible Ferrari California out in the early part of next year - ok another 30K on top of an R8....but worth the punt - would not lose money for first 2 years...

I'm too fat for Porsche sports seats!!! Embarassed

I know what you mean Nick but stretched by budget for the R8 in the first place and got the GT3 for near as damn it the same money I sold R8 for.......the best thing about the R8 is the tiny depreciation or in my case slight profit! Very Happy

I mean this, but if anyone on here wants to do a 5 way share on a Ferrari California next year - we'll make money just getting the deposit up.....problem would be finding a dealer with not a huge waiting list!!! I'd happilly buy a share of car - and have 2 months a year driving it!!!

Nick, I could be interested in that and have some sway reducing waiting lists on "exotic" cars as I did with the R8 resulting in my profit
