2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

When I take the car to the local pressure wash guy, if there are other cars waiting he nearly always shouts at me to put it into offroad height so he can wash the underneath and inside the wheelarches.......................... he thinks it's great and he never charges me any extra for underneath wash, then I lower it to access so he can do the roof without getting his ladders out! Mr. Green I think we need a Low Rider mode as well - imagine the crowds you would get if the car could do this! Rolling with laughter

Now I know what the multipin plug under the steering column is for................. the suspension remote control! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yeah I always 'slam it to the deck' as those burberry wearing types would have it. I just wish the bloody thing would stay where you put it. Granted, on anything but a perfectly smooth road it would be a bit of a boneshaker....Probably damage something aswell? Did you know that in off road mode, there is actually another higher setting above that? It activates if you 'bottom out' on a rock or something.

A couple of the guys who I met yesterday, told me they leave their cars in Access mode height when parking up - it's a good look so I've been told. Been trying it this morning, and just wondering how many more of you do that.

EX-X5, if you hold the lowering button down until you get a warning gong then it will be locked into access mode. To get out of locked mode hold the down button until you get the gong again. If you try to drive above 20mph you will get lots of warning bongs until you unlock the suspension.
And the offroad height has super-extended mode but unless you pay a german company Matzker a lot of money, then you have no control over it!
There are 3 pages of an item from LROI mag in my gallery here: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=515

It is an interesting read because in addition to extended height control you can lower the car at high speed too 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Is it possible when parking the RRS to have it automatically go into Access Height when you remove the ignition key?

I always use access mode for ease Thumbs Up

At weekend I had to change a wheel due to a puncture Evil or Very Mad

So off road height first (needed step ladder), then took it from off road height to access height when finished... It actually changes the width of wheel track and drags the tyres so much I wonder if this contributes to tyre edge wear Confused

In future I will change height while moving.... I thought the tyre was going to come off the rim Shocked Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I think you only see that when the car is jacked up onto 3 wheels. I noticed the same recently after changing a wheel and then lowering the suspension. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

I always put mine in access mode, i recently had the car lowered to access mode so it runs at that height full time, but i am now thinking on having it raised again a i find the ride a little harsh

Whenever I leave mine locked in access mode from being in a multiple-story car park and then drive off the ride is terrible. Can't believe you'd want that all the time. It's not like it looks better either, the whole car looks too squat. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

I have to admit i only had it done to see what it was like and if the ride was ok i would keep it at that, now i know better.

I personally like the look of the car at access height, then again everyone is different.

Hey, noboby listening to you Wink

Answer, no unfortunately is not possible. Probably a safety feature, car does not know where you parked and if it is safe to lower itself. '08 RRS TDV8
