| I will get a new cable from the box and try again. I keep the same cable in the car which I used on the iPhone 5 and it has no issues. I did wonder if perhaps the iPhone 6 needs slightly more power ? |

I previously used an iPhone 5 plugged into the iPod port using an Apple cable. No issue with music playback or more importantly charging.
I have now plugged in a iPhone 6, again no issues with music ... |
