The electrics cover is actually cheaper from dealer than off ebay (£14 iirc)

Sounds like your lock on the towhitch has jammed..... fill it with WD40 and leave for an hour or so... then try again... ...

1/ Where would I get the blanking plate that covers the tow bar electricals on rear bumper?
