I think that's your problem, you need to take the screen off your OEM unit and then attach the back to the Tesla screen.
Take a photo of the back of the Tesla screen and the OEM unit and post it up ... |

Go to the OEM screen, make sure AUX is selected.
Select 'Phone' from the top bat navigation.
Select BT Music.
Does the sound come back? |
