Hi just remove the top and bottom cover and each stalks are held in with 2 small screws they just push in and out. Hope that helps

Yes it is a direct replacement I also did not like the rotary switch. The newer "rocker lever" looks so much better, only problem is this is very expensive even with my trade ... |
