I finally got a chance to work on the lights this weekend and everything worked out perfectly. Thank you Simon and Andy for your guidance and the great step by step instructions!

Just so I'm understanding this correctly it's:

A) Reverse the configuration of the black and green/white wires in each courtesy lamps
B) splice a new wire to the Green/White wire ...
