2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Fingers crossed I'll get the second done today. Opted for the oven method. 130 for 10 mins. Checked after 5 and was far too hot!! The underside of the casing Was far too soft from sitting on the bottom of the oven however the mastic wasn't sticky enough. Decided to use a towel, this then burnt.. The wife was not happy.. Turned out to be her favourite dior towel :/

Any fellow "bakers" have any tips?

Yeah - buy cheaper towels! Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I would slightly dampen the towel - I burnt up a towel screwing this up initially as well! Laughing

As for awdman's slightly larger left-side HALO...

It looks like this emoticon:

2 pack epoxy.

It's heat resistant, and holds well... RRS gone

+2 on the epoxy. Get the two cylinder plunger plastic epoxy - clear. Treat the reflective coating like a very fragile foil; it delaminates extremely easily. Dry fit first, then put tiny dots of the epoxy exactly where the rings will push over to conceal. I put 6 dots total and they're still holding.

Thumbs Up

One word of caution

When using the heat gun method, be careful not to overheat, the glue really does not need much to get it tacky... too much heat makes the lens plastic brittle Thumbs Up RRS gone

When it comes to wiring these up. Am I right in thinking if the halos are on whilst main lights are in this is actually illegal???

I maybe wrong but I'm sure they stay on even with normal headlights on anyway on the newer models, but not sure if its at a reduced brightness.

Maybe someone with a my10 onwards could confirm? MY07 TDV6 HSE Stornaway & Ivory
