I don't think there is any issues with putting the new rear light cluster on an old sport if you wish......but you won't be able to do the front.

These will plug in using the existing connector and fit the same way in the rear quarter and screw into the exact same place as your old units, i did this only very briefly to a stock car and they worked well but i would need to further test them, the only issue with these as the disco 3 lights is that on the dash when you indicatate the indicator symbol will flash twice as quick, as if a bulb is out when it is not, you must remember these are now incorporating led bulbs which draw less power, so the ecu thinks you have a bulb out when you do not, to get around this you must fit a resistor, we will be selling these lights adapted in the next few weeks and now we have completed our vogue converstions to work on customers cars after completing our own cars will be facelifting sports we hope at the start of November. As long as your alright

at present we are only fitting them in house, its not a simple case of sending out the lights and the resistors , these are very difficult to fit, plus i only have a limited supply of lights which are all going on 2010 conversions at present sorry M As long as your alright

I'm confused now, in one post you say they are pretty much a plug in affair (minus the obvious lack of voltage drop caused by LED's)......but now you are saying its a difficult job.

My experience of sorting this problem out on 12v motorcycles with LED indicators was no more than fitting in-line resistors to the indicator supply.....what is so different with the RRS.

I do hope this is not a case of builing an empire here (with related charges) on a possible simple job.

with respect it is difficult to get across all the work involved on a forum, the range rover sport and discovery 3 lights are a lot easier with only one resistor being fitted to sort the whole light scenario out as these lights do incorporate bulbs where as the range rover rear lights are completely led so to get around the many problems of flickering, fault codes, indicators flashing twice as they should to name only 3 things my electrician fits resistors and builds up circuit boards to control this , in all over 3 hours work, if you wish to plug them straight in some people may just "plug and play" and live with all these problems but i do not wish to neither do my customers we do it right, as for building and empire lol god help me if i dare take a profit for all the work that has gone into these lights. As long as your alright

I guess there was a little ‘devils advocate’ in my message but I was just clearing up if it was a difficult job or an easy one on the RRS.
To be fair, the lights are not to my liking so I will happily stick to the originals... ok so I might put 09 ones on my 08 to get rid of the amber indicators.

I wasn’t getting at you personally with the empire building jibe.... or didn’t mean to if it reads like I was... it just makes me cringe when certain specialists charge for the pleasure of their so called specialist status. There are far too many owners of expensive cars that regularly get took to the cleaners when they want to do something different to their cars. I could mention a few Range Rover ‘styling houses’ that are more than happy to rip off stupid rich people (footballers spring to mind here).

I fully appreciate the work that might go into incorporating a mini circuit board but an inline resistor is another matter.

Yes mate the sport, a 2008 TDV8 HST one.... like I said the 2010 sport tail lights look a little too Halfords for my liking, you never know they might look different in the flesh but not had the chance to go and see one yet.
