25MY Service Frequency Change

Just been told that 25MY cars will need to be serviced every two years rather than annually. Not entirely sure this is a good thing if past experience is anything to go by. This is at least for Diesels - not sure about PHEV and the P400 has been discontinued for 25MY anyway.

Does that mean they've gone from a 24-month service schedule for MY23, to a 12-month service seclude for MY24 and now back to 24-month for MY25?

Seems odd, if so.

My car, which is an MY23 PHEV, is on a 24-month schedule. 2023 P440e Dynamic SE

Hi,

My thoughts exactly.

SWMBO’s D250 3L 6-pot Defender is 24m / 21,000 mls.

My 24MY D300 3L 6-pot RRS AB is 12m /10,500mls.

If this is true about 25MY then:-

1. What’s changed?
2 Are LR going to revisit 24MY? (Hopefully before October! Big Cry )

Same for me.. they specifically told me my new car would be 24 months and when THEY shifted it to. MY24 they never advised schedule had changed. How can we find out ? My dealer car barely spell SERVICE never mind advise on anything !!!

Think I would have mine serviced (at least oil and filter) every year irrespective of schedule… lots of examples of long service intervals affecting oil quality and engine issues.

Rowdie,

Go to the Online Service History web page, enter your VIN and then you can view your service schedule.

https://osh.landrover.com/

Use the “service information” tab at the top.

When the next page comes up, select “service type” and your schedule will come up.

When I ordered mine a year ago I was told it would need a service every 24 months but when I picked it up last week they said it is now every 12 months. How can some be 12 months and others 24 months? Not very happy about it tbh. Mines a PHEV

Muddy,

Get your VIN from your dealer and check out your OSH as I described above, it will show your service schedule.

Mines (24MY D300 AB) is booked in for mid October for its first service (at the moment).

I have a MY23 PHEV car collected 1st Sept 2023 - have 4k miles - received a SMS text message and email from LR to say the car is now due a service. Online site says every 20k miles or 24 months - have asked the dealer what is going on...... MY23, 3.0 P440e PHEV AB, Carparthian Grey, Deep Garnett interior

be very interested to know what they say. My P460 is registered a couple of months after yours and apparently needs a service every 12 months. So they fit a new electric motor to move from 440 to 460 and apparently according to the VIN it needs servicing twice as often ! Smile !. Do they make this stuff up !

LR Dealer Reply

Hi

Received a reply from LR Watford:

"I have checked the system and your service is not due until September 2025 or if you do 21,000 miles.
I will try and update the system as they keep getting these incorrect and sending emails to customers that do not require. "

I won't be booking it in Smile MY23, 3.0 P440e PHEV AB, Carparthian Grey, Deep Garnett interior
