Genuine OEM Android phone charger in cup holder - L494

Has anyone got one of these fitted? After finally finding a phone small enough to fit in it, I cant seem to get it to work consistently. It seems to power up for a few seconds and then go off. Its either not connecting to the pads correctly or it is a faulty unit I would imagine?

They also seem to be sodding expensive.

How does this work with the sliding cup holder drawer out of interest? 2021 P400e Autobiography

The sliding drawer actually just goes over the top of it, so that isnt a problem! It shuts as normal!

Nice!

Where did you get yours from, was it easy to fit, and how much did it cost?

Edit: I see the max width is 67mm. My phone is 75mm wide, so this isn't a goer for me.

Darn. I'll either have to find a pad or use the wire. I don't like using holders (prefer the interior looking clean). 2021 P400e Autobiography

Have you looked at powerful?

They sell specific LR pad holders.

I did look at powerful uk.

However, they don't seem to offer any wireless pads for late L494 models like mine. 2021 P400e Autobiography

Exactly, Powerful are great for lots of items, but they dont do them for the later L494 unfortunately. Land Rover part numbers you need for the Android charger are: VPLYV0124 and VPLGV0126. HOWEVER! speaking to JLR they are not making any more of these as there are compatibility issues with new wireless phones, so at the moment I have a very expensive phone holder! Samsung dont recommend using any wireless charger apart from their own, so arent interested. I have tried tweaking a few settings but the charger either illuminates all the time (draining battery!) or doesnt light at all. Oh and check your phone size as they can only accommodate phones of 72mm width maximum, so if you have one of the bigger smartphones they wont fit!

Thanks for the added info!

Yeah, this holder won't be suitable anyway, my iPhone 13 is too large for it.

The powerfuluk ones looked nice, shame they don't do anything for the later models.

I'll try and find a non slip charger from somewhere.

I test drove a Hyundai recently that had a dedicated slot in the centre console that you just slip the phone into. It was really a rather neat solution and I wish other manufacturers did the same thing. If I had a 3D printer, I'd try and make one! 2021 P400e Autobiography

A lot of the Jag XF have a shelf under the heater controls to put your phone.
Only problem is I forgot to take my phone with me

The last models had a factory option to add induction charging to it
