4.2 v 5 litre facelift 2010.....

I’ve recently purchased a 4.2 supercharged 2006 and TBH it’s a bit floaty.

I previously had a facelift 2010 diesel which drove superbly.

I assume then that there were major changes to the facelift? I actually feel like getting rid of the 4.2 2006 RRS Supercharged 4.2 HST muthuaflecka!

I found the rear end of my 2006 SC floaty and the front end too firm. My local Indie reckoned the rear shocks were shot but couldn't explain the overly firm front end. I had ours a week and sold it back to the garage.

My 4.4 V8 Vogue arrives this Sunday - night and day compared to the drive/ride of the RRS and that includes the 5.0SC too. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
Ex 2006 RRS SC - garbage
Ex 2016 135i M Sport - dream car
Ex 2003 RS6 Avant - piece of cr*p
Ex 2014 320d X Drive, M Sport Touring - ok I guess
Ex 2007 RRS TDV8 - bloody loved it
EX 2007 FL2 XS - not so bad

TOH's 4.2 S/C is just as planted as my TDV6, so maybe something up with yours?

They have the right to put any faults right first if you try and hand it back then you could take a massive loss but you are less than 14 days in Thumbs Up

There was a shed load of things wrong with it from day one so it went back for a refund. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Is this the one key car you were raving about a week ago?!

If it’s any consolation I did the same many years ago....bought a sl500 and was immediately bored with it so I bought the 55amg which was just the job.....hope you can get out of it without taking a bath money wise. 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR

Yes! Spent £160 on the key
Now my local Land Rover diagnosed the fault over the phone. I know the manager and he knows his onions. Told me it was the compressor which is why it’s “floaty”.car has 3 months warranty but that’s not covered. Dealer is away until Thursday. He’s a genuine bloke so all should be well. 2006 RRS Supercharged 4.2 HST muthuaflecka!

Fault at time of sale .....dealer won’t have any wiggle room....what’s a new compressor cost ?!
Probably more than his profit in the car judging on the sale price. 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR
