The DVD will play on the front screen when you are parked. As yet there isn't a hack to make it work in motion but pro car audio shops can sort this out for you but it's not cheap. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Thanks for that, I 've been quoted £350 incl fitting and parts to have the TV/DVD play whilst driving from a well known Car Audio specialist and the LR dealer said he will take it to the workshop and have the work done and get it picked up all ready for the handover next week. But I wasn't sure if the rear DVD played on the front screen also. What the Pro Car Audio/visual specialist told me that they remove the front dash screen and put in a little black box which the overides and tells the car to carry on playing the Hybrid TV/DVD movies whilst in motion....well lets see what happens

That is cheap. Do you know if it's the NavTV unit?

I wonder also if this is being done as a pre-delivery item whether the dealer is subsidising the cost somewhat or it's being done at trade price?

That's why I ask if it's the NavTV box. I thought that was the only solution on the market at the moment thus the stupid price. £350 is excellent if it is....

I confirmed it is the NAV TV unit and the unit price is about £250 and labour is £100. This gives Video/picture in motion. Which in theory disables the motion sensor, so everything that plays on the front dash screen be it Hybrid Tv and DVD movies will play once the car is on the move.

But are you guys 100% sure that the rear headrest dvd entertainment movies play on the front dash screen, if so then the Nav Tv will make them play in the front whilst the car is on the move thats what the Pro Audio/Visual guy said.

But I heard if you had rear dvd and it didn't play in the front screen(ie. not factory fitted) then in that case it would cost around £700 + to have it play upfront as it would mean connecting this to the front screen and its all optical fibre.

Lets see what happens the RRS should be going in this week to have these modifications done, I will let you know if it works. Then I'll charge you all £500 to book your cars in for modifications Thumbs Up

I have one of the earliest RRS's and I have DVD in the 2 rear headrests - I can confirm that when stationary all three screens in the car will show a DVD. When you take the car out of park only the rear 2 will show a picture. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Got the NAV/TV unit fitted early last year......worked well and cost £550 fitted, although I must admit that I don't actually watch on the move - come to think of it, I'm not really sure why I had it installed.

Must be an age thing.

Now where did I put my slippers? 'Confused' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??
