I know that if you unlock the car and do not open a door the car will re-lock within a set time period but to have it lock after actually opening a door, I dont know but would not have thought it should do that. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment. |

Indeed - as your wife nearly found out to her detriment, you could quite easily lock yourself out of the car that way. I too have noticed it locks itself if you unlock remotely and don't open a door... in fact one of the pics in my gallery actually shows this happening, you can see the indicator lights flashing just as I take the pic.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I managed to get myself into a right pickle about a month ago, in a mad rush to get to the airport, when I thought I had managed to lock BOTH sets of keys into the car and it was after I had called out LR Assist that I found that I had actually unlocked the drivers door at the same time as opening the boot and it was still unlooked. NEVER ever lock both the sets of keys inside or misplace one set because Land Rover Assist have yet to figure out how to shift the car onto a recovery truck if they cannot get a key into the ingition to release the gear selector and parking brake. Even if they break in, unless a key is inside the car, they cannot move the gear selector or release the parking brake! Hopefully somebody will design a clever master key with fancy "master" electronics built into it one day!
