Bahrain 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Nara Bronze
PDC Inactive

Hi guys,

wow, well its not even been a month and I've already got my first problem Sad

Usually, when I put the car in reverse, the PDC (parking sensors) become active and do their job. However now, they would come on as usual but after a couple of seconds the button starts flashing and a warning message comes on the info screen, saying something like "Front Parking Sensors Inactive".

My sensors now do not work at all, everytime I switch on the PDC, the button starts flashing followed by the error message.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? I'm taking the car in to the dealership on Wednesday to see if they can cure it.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Thanks.

What has probably happened is that one of the connectors to one of the 8 parking sensors has come loose. If one is not connected the whole lot fail. I had this when I fitted the winch plate and took 2 sensors off. Very simple fix. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

May be an obvious observation; have you clean all sensors? It can be a reason. Yuri

Took the car down this morning and explained that it could be a loose sensor.. They checked it out and found that one of the front sensors was faulty. And, as VA correctly pointed out, if one doesn't work, all of them decide to do the same..

End result, they changed the faulty sensor and I picked it up this evening.. my PDC is alive again Smile

Glad you got it sorted - by the way, did I miss the pics of your RRS after all the colour coding?
