I ordered Aug-2022 and still waiting, so take the delivery timescales with a slight pinch of salt. Although it’s worth noting I’m waiting for the P460e dynamic, which seems to be the one in most demand. There’s quite a few coming up for sale that have been cancelled, so worth keeping an eye on those as well.

Just cancelled mine due to insurance being a figure I simply cannot justify. But you will see plenty of brand new p460e’s on autotrader now ready to buy. Don’t believe anything they say anymore

I figured out my insurance was sky rocketing because i kept using aggregators to find deals. It goes against your background checks and can make the price increase. I was getting £3.5k+ a couple of months ago, left it a while and it’s now gone back down to £1.2k (36y/o, 4 yrs no claims). I also tried using my wife as the main driver when I got daft quotes and it was £1.1k.

I picked my 460e AB up at the beginning of October, it took me a few trips to get used to everything being controlled from the screen but now it's second nature. Loving it any way!

Likewise - amazing cars and the interface very intuitive. Best yet after 30 years of JLR vehicles.

It does seem that the interminable wait, 16 months in my case, has had some benefits. I have no wind noise issues, my panel fit is good, including the filler flaps and the 460e's EV only power is more than plenty for just running around.

I have found nothing wrong yet, though I must admit there are still a load of functionality I have still yet to try.

I have a 400 mile round trip to make at the weekend, so I will try some more things then.

Its a lovely thing even if I gulp slightly every time I think about the price paid. On that last subject, I didn't really feel the price increases since order, due to an element of price protection given by JLR and the interest on the money in the bank during the wait.

Octopus

Has anybody with a P460e tried to set up octopus smart EV tariff. The P460 doesn’t appear yet. Can I use P440 interface ?

Any views welcome.

Agreed great car so far. !

Thanks for the positive posts. They say that I have at least a year to wait. But really looking forward to it. RRS P460e

You probably can, but I do not use it as it caused problems for me.
It seemed to schedule lots of back to back charging periods and I found that confused the car and so failed to charge fully.
I have just set a schedule in the car to charge between 11:30pm and 5:30am, that is long enough to get a full charge for me. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

The p440 profile in octopus works fine for me and the systems works perfectly 99.9% of the time. Occasional glitch on the octopus app but nothing too traumatic. They did tell me a 460 was in the pipeline but the battery is the same anyways.

Amazing car. And the noise and performance when in sport and dynamic mode is addictive. Agree about the controls - took a couple of weeks but now second nature.
Only complaint is having to press the steering wheel button 3 times every time you start it to switch off the bong noise if you go 1 mph over limit. 2024 Firenza Red P460e Dynamic SE

Yes agree it’s a slightly annoying, but guess it’s a first world problem and agree it’s an addictive drive. One other thing is the shift from 24 months between services that the Milton Keynes garage told me and the fact that it is now really 12000 miles for each service. Especially as I expect to only have the engine running for about half those miles ! Lol.
