Passenger footwell panel removal

range rover sport 2012 passenger footwell panel removal,
I have a rogue wire missing from the front passenger side footwell,
when I removed the light to replace the bulb that has been out for
a long time, the wire disappeared into the panelling, I cant reach it,
so the panel will need to come loose or off to find it..

Any how too's?

Thank you in advance.. ===========================================

As always with me, I have finally got round to looking at this and your instructions are perfect,

I have almost completely removed the lower glove box section with the small carpet bit
attached, just left the side attached near the bonnet lever,
I can see everything, except a wire, does the wire come from the carpet side or the left,
I guess the only other place this can have disappeared to is actually under the floor carpet??

Instructions if anyone else stumbles across this thread looking for help,,

"If I remember right, two small turnbuckle screws just below bottom edge of lower glove box lid, grab the small piece of carpet trim attached to the panel by the transmission tunnel and give it a gentle tug there is a hidden spring clip behind it, should then be able to lower panel enough and wiggle it out, if you still can't get it right out you may have to remove the piece of footwell trim by the bonnet release lever should then drop straight out." ===========================================

Comes from the left, should be small black plug/connector with a black and a purple wire fitted, as normal L/R don't give a lot of spare wire but should be there somewhere Smile

It has to be the most difficult bit of trim to refit !

so neither am I in a rush, I will look at some point,,

Andy K,
I was either lucky or this wasn't as bad as you would imagine,
not sure about digging too deep if I cannot find the plug next time I look.. ===========================================

This is the wire you are looking for, takes me longer to get down into the footwell than it does to get the trim off. Laughing

That's great Col,
I am sure I will be able to find it next time
I get in there, the location looks maybe a little
further left than maybe I was looking..
