Probably needs to be done in the CCF, unless it's got its own fuse. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It's got it's own connector to the sensor for sure, so disabling should be a single look under the bumper away... Regards etc.,

By simply pulling a fuse or unplugging it, would it not possibly throw up a annoying message when going through the system check, only a though as wouldn't really know, try it and see would be the obvious answer I guess.

If it's doing it randomly it might be a sign of a deeper issue that simply disconnecting the sensor or fuse won't solve. Or if doing so does solve it, then it at least helps to narrow down the problem. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Is there a separate fuse for the sensor, or does the fuse cover the whole powered tailgate stuff? Regards etc., Wojtek --- WAS: 2006 RRS Supercharged IS: 2010 RRS TDV8 HSE |

I think it may be Fuse 49, 10 amp fuse in the rear load space fusebox, but wouldn't know if it controls the complete powered tailgate function or just the gesture part, proably the whole thing.

10A seems overkill for a simple sensor. BTW this sensor uses about as much energy as the rain sensor, so I believe there may even be no fuse for it at all.

I think I have succeeded! You can turn off the keyless opening on a post 2018 model with the later platform using the same method..

Thank God the JLR engineers didn't include spitting over left shoulder while juggling 4 tennis balls into this procedure. Regards etc., Wojtek --- WAS: 2006 RRS Supercharged IS: 2010 RRS TDV8 HSE |
