Engine System fault

Hi All , I'm new to this forum and have an issue with my 2007 RRS TDV8 with "engine system fault" and reduced performance happening - this only occurs when I am towing a large caravan works perfect when not towing. I recently had new turbo's fitted due to excessive oil leak from offside turbo. I took it back to the company that replaced the turbo's and they did a fault code scan and the only thing that came up was P140E and P140A . They are recommending blanking the EGR's and remapping. Any advice guidance would be really appreciated

hi

try plugging / unplugging the wiring connectors a few times , also check the terminals

might just be a bad connection , also check ur other sensors that u may have unplugged , ie MAP/ MAF

I had similar problem with my tdv8 about 6 mtgs after replacing both turbos . It ended up with the os turbo coming off again as it was carboned up solid causing the vanes inside not to move - you can check from underneath- the actuators should move freely- if not there’s a problem and it will throw warning on and restrict performance. The actuators go through a cycle on initial start up to locate the vanes if this cycle fails the warning will pop up just after start up.
