Hi every one.

Could do with a bit of help in tracking a part for the gear shift knob as i'm about to go nuts.

The shift unlock button at the back of the selector knob decided to break on me whilst out today need to find where i can get one from, can find the "Park" button but can't find the shift unlock button so if any one can point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

OK, why does the kit come with a pair of socks?

Socks are to keep the gear shifter warm in the winter.

I had the same issue last year after a 7 hour drive back from Cornwall, stopped at my local-ish Co-Op and the trigger broke when I was half way across a car park just about to reverse into a parking space. I was unable to move the car at all, as all four wheels locked (assume parking brake). RAC (4 hours after calling them, had wife and kids in car) came out and DRAGGED it on to a flatbed, as did not know how to release the brakes or even what to do. Dropped it back home by shuffling the car off the flatbed using sliders and fairy liquid. 12 hours after leaving Cornwall, a trip never to be forgotten.

Easy fix once I found the part number.

Hi I've just changed mine, not because it was broken but because the P button looked like it was smudged and it was in my line of vision ......I've kept the old kit just in case it does ever jam

Hello mate if you pull the bottom of the cup holders out there's a red ribbon, pull this and the car will go into neutral so you can get it moved until you get the switch

Mines going in to main dealer Thursday for a new one,LR tech came out Sunday as mine broke again after AA bodged it,he had a new switch but couldn’t fit it as he couldn’t get in touch with anyone at warranty care with it being Sunday but he fitted one that he had repaired which is probably stronger than original as they are only plastic.Im going to ask dealer for the old one back & keep it in glove box as a spare. Andy.
