Reluctance to change into sixth

Hi all. I’ve recently changed over to my summer wheels now that I thought the chance of snow has past us. Due to other factors I’m not convinced that the same (labelled which corner) wheel was put on the same corner. I had a bit of wheel wobble and this was cured having all 4 balanced. However I have noticed that there is a reluctance to change into sixth, but not always. Once I noticed it I put it in manual and it changes fine. There is no transmission vibration what’s so ever.

From anyone else’s experience could this be the tyres getting worn. The tread depth gauge shows 3 & 4mm remaining. Tyre pressures checked with my pencil gauge this morning and all 4 adjusted, but didn’t cure the issue. My gut feeling is it’s the tyres getting low and now having lost track of the wheel on what corner record (a bit nerdy but hey Ho). The tyres were manufactured on 2016 & one in 2017. Pirelli Zero Asimmetricos’ 275/40/20s’ which I must have done 50k on.

Thoughts anyone……. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
