Spare wheel.

Just wondering what way up my spare should be? On my L320 it is mounted underneath with the spokes facing down, i seen 1 today with them facing up.
What way is the right way?

I think you will find yours is upside down, also a lot easier to steal that way I would think as able to cut cable easier.

Cheers

It should be spokes upwards and fit a wheel protector to prevent theft.

Forum member RLD used to do them, not sure if he still does. I have one of his from years ago and it's done the job so far.

This site shows one of his so maybe he's still making them. Or just buy one of his from them:

That site suggests the wheel may be stored different ways up on vehicles with/without adblue. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

I place a carpet tile on top of the wheel to prevent damage.

Drill a hole in the middle and then cut from there to an edge, to enable placement.

The OP has an early supercharged so ad blue won't apply. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

On the plus side....

At least you have access to the tyre valve, so can ensure it has decent air pressure it in. and top up if required

Yeah, no AdBlue here. I suppose as long as its secure it doesnt matter. My only problem is i have 275/55 20 Hankooks so my spare is too small anyway
