Off-road tires 2013 rrs

Hey, this is my first post! I have been reading through the forum on this topic but nothing has really answered my question. I know someone has the answer:

I want to put some 17 or 18” wheel on my 2013 rrs. I have a 2” lift. I want to go this route to have more mud or all terrain tire options. This is a 2 part question:

1. Does anyone know if 18” wheels fit 2013 RRS and if so, do you know where to find them? I have seen some talk about spacers but I’d like to avoid that if possible.

2. If yes to above, what is the largest tire size I could go with?

Thanks for any advice or help!!

Being a petrol V8 17" or 18" wheels will not fit your vehicle - will not fit over the brakes. Not sure if 19s will fit. 07MY RRS TDV6

I think you need to be a little more specific with your vehicle model if it's a 2013 RRS1 it will not be a 4.4L petrol or diesel as they did not produce one, they dropped the 4.4 petrol around 2006/7 and never fitted the 4.4 diesel to the RRS1. If it's a 5.0L petrol it will have 6 pot brembo's which will certainly limit your wheel options, if it's a 2013 L494 it will be the 4.4 SDV8 diesel or 5.0L petrol and not sure what brake calipers the SDV8 had fitted from the factory. Not sure but have a vague re-collection there was a post that someone had fitted a specific style 19" rims over the 6 pot's.

I don't believe it has the Brembo brakes... I think those were only on the Super charged version for 2013.

Easy enough to tell, just post a close up picture of front wheel.

Not sure of the Brembos but all V8s have bigger brakes of one sort or another so 17" and 18" and maybe 19" will not fit. 07MY RRS TDV6

L/R actualy list this 19" rim as "off road alloy wheel" style 1 (LR017276) which fit all 2010-2013 from SE through to 5.0L S/C A/B originally as a no cost option, so if their sales brochure is correct there is a 19" wheel that will fit over any of the brakes, brembo or other wise. Also thought the Compmotive PD 1881's 18" rims also fitted vehicles with the 4 pot brembos on the TDV8 as well but not the 6 pot's, not the cheapest of rims though.

I have 18 inch Compomotive PD1881s that fit over the 4 pot brembos as above.

There is a wheel called Evo Corse that fit over the larger 6 pot brembos but the correct offset is needed to achieve this, see pic below.

Thanks for that. Mine does not have brembo brakes so those options will all work on my truck. If anyone else has any other suggestions, feel free to share!

Since we are on the topic. Now comes tire selection. One tire I really like is the AMP All Terrain Pro, only issue is they come is 3 sizes for 18”. The only one that would remotely fit would be 275/65/18... I have a 2” lift. Does anyone know how this would fit? I assume it would but will I need to do some hot gun fender molding or relocate any components?

What tire size are you running? I’m looking at 285/65/18 but a little worried about the extra width and rubbing? I’m happy to do a little fender molding but also happy with less modifications. Thoughts? Thanks again for the recommendation... I think I’m going with the 18” compomotive wheels; I like the simple look.

I run a 265/65/18, i dont run any lift although i can if i wish as i have a LR Passion electronic easy lift controller. No rubbing at standard height, still clears using access height and with all air gone and on the bump stops although I wouldn’t drive in these modes!

For offroad use i always run offroad height to allow full articulation with zero rubbing Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
