DieselGate for LR cheat devices

Not sure how much truth there is to this but saw and advert on FB about Leigh Day Solictors are making a claim to LR abotu LR using cheat devices and trying the whole compo lawsuit similar to that of VW and Mercedes

https://www.leighday.co.uk/latest-updates/...at-device/

Just wondered if anyone had signed up and spoken with them or if its all a load of those brown splats cows leave in fields!

Not sure if they have some actual information that means JLR were naughty like all the others or if they are just hoping that if there is enough momentum JLR will offer compo to advert a proper inspection. Its in Leigh Day's interest as I think the going rate they state is 30% of a succesful claim! If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!

If they had cheated and you knew would it have meant you would turn away and not buy? It’s more ambulance chasers that only push up future prices as the manufacturers make their money back. Joined the X5 45e club

Yeah thats my thinking also, all these compo claims for PPI and the likes, I feel cheated as I was never stupid enough to be sold them in the first place!

That said if its true and we have all been misled on how green the cars are then maybe its worth it to teach these MFR's a lesson in honesty I suppose.

Be better if LeighDay maybe helped out for the Crankshaft failures as this si clearly a MFR problem! If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!

Does anyone buy a 4x4 and consider the fuel economy figures or emissions figures? I'm extremely doubtful.

This is just another one of those "get rich" schemes for lawyers. The fact that everyone else will pick up the bill one way or another doesn't matter to them. They'll have pocketed their share and moved on to the next car crash. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Only the lawyers will make money from this, yet another scam that we will all end up paying for ultimately. Not even the LR badges are green on my car and the main reason I can afford at all it is the low mileage I do. MPG? Don't really care. Huge insurance premiums to cover claims for alleged 'whiplash' and unnecessary expenses are a scandal. The UK has the highest incidence of whiplash injury in the western world. Ever wonder why? RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

Yep also the cash for crash schemes operated by some of the organised crime euro syndicats!

I dont think anyone who buys and LR would consider it to be an eco statement so just wondered why they chose LR really seems a strange one! If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!

They chose LR because they know full well that the majority are bought by badge snobs that buy into the cool of the brand. LR could have fitted hamster wheels and these people would have bought them. They're the people the vampires are targeting. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
